The Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), Dr. Jean Ping, received in his office at the AU Headquarters on Monday, 16 July 2012, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, who was elected as the new Chairperson of the Commission, on Sunday night, 15 July 2012, by African Heads of State and Government during the 19th African Union Summit.
The Chairperson and Dr. Zuma exchanged views on a number of issues of common interest, including the transition, which is expected to last a maximum of 90 days.
